This two-day symposium explored the intersection of AI and creativity. It highlighted how AI enhances artistic expression in films, video games, and research.

Presentations included Microsoft’s David Seymour on the Art of the Possible, DNEG’s Crawford Doran on the use of Ziva AI for character animation, EA’s Rick Stringfellow on looking at how AI is a signal of change, SFU’s Philippe Pasquier on MetaCreation Lab’s ethical AI tools for non-coders, OpenAI Ambassador Manuel Sainsily and Will Selviz’s work with SORA technology in short films, and Indigenous filmmaker Amelia Bearskin-Winger’s integration of AI in storytelling.

IM4 Lab proudly presented this rare opportunity to meet Co-Founder and Signals’ Co-Curator Loretta Todd, alongside incredible artists Michael Running Wolf and Caroline Old Coyote, Amelia Winger-Bearskin, Tracey Kim Bonneau, Kahentawaks Tiewishaw, and Raven John.

Visitors discovered their innovative works and learned about their journeys through talks and a roundtable discussion.

This all-ages event was free and open to everyone! Featuring complimentary tea and pemmican, no less.
